LEICESTERSHIRE CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ASSOCIATION
The Leicestershire Construction Safety Association Ltd is concerned with maintaining and improving the standards of safety on building sites in the Leicestershire area. With the increasing demands of current legislation and the high financial penalties imposed by the Courts for even minor infringements, the LCSA provides valuable information and advice to all its membership. Encouraged by the Health and Safety Executive (H.S.E.), membership has steadily increased over the years.
The Association is administered by a board of directors, who represent small, medium and large companies within membership and span all areas of the construction trade including builders, plumbing and heating engineers, electricians, joinery specialists, property maintenance, painters and decorators, groundwork and scaffold contractors.
CHAS
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) is a scheme used by Construction companies when shortlisting contractors, suppliers and consultants (companies) who apply to work for them. It provides information about the health and safety part of their application. By participating in the CHAS scheme, T. Denman & Sons Limited is able to appoint sub-contractors and suppliers who meet the health and safety criteria in the pre-qualification application. This gives peace of mind to our clients that everyone involved in the project is fully aware of health and safety.

CONSTRUCTIONLINE
Constructionline is the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. Owned and endorsed by the DTI, Constructionline is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative. The benefits of Constructionline are as a one stop source of registered companies who have satisfied the usual pre-qualification criterion. Information on financial matters, policies, insurance and the like are regularly updated. This enables a speedy assessment of a Contractors' abilities.

NFB
The NFB (National Federation of Builders) is the construction industry’s longest established trade association and represents the interests of its members and the industry generally by lobbying both UK and European Governments, regional assemblies and related non-governmental agencies.
Member companies have to satisfy what the NFB believes to be the most stringent entrance criteria for any building trade association. Companies must provide references from accountants, previous clients, suppliers and professionals such as architects and surveyors.
Only if the panel is satisfied with the company's technical competence, health and safety standards and financial probity is the company admitted into membership. The Federation also requires member companies to adhere to a stringent Code of Conduct governing their relationship with clients.

NHBC
The NHBC (National House Building Council) is the standard setting body and leading warranty and insurance provider for new and newly converted homes in the UK.
To be registered with the NHBC, builders and developers must demonstrate financial security and technical competence. The NHBC carries out commercial and technical assessments of all applicant builders and developers before offering 'registered' status. All registered builders agree to comply with NHBC Rules and build homes to NHBC Standards of construction.
